2021 Copper in Architecture Awards
Awards Submission Rules

  1. By submitting a project and associated photographs, drawings, details, and materials (herein called Materials) for consideration in the North American Copper in Architecture Awards Program (herein called Awards), you and/or your firm (herein collectively called You or Yours) retain ownership of the copyright but by submission grant Copper Development Association Inc. (CDA), Canadian Copper and Brass Development Association (CCBDA), their members, subsidiaries and licensees (herein collectively called Sponsors) a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide perpetual license for unlimited use without further participation or review by You. Sole consideration for the rights granted is entry into the Awards Program for consideration of an award. You grant such use by Sponsors thereafter without payment, compensation or further permission.

  2. This license includes, but is not limited to, the non-exclusive right to make the Materials available to third parties for:
  3. By submitting Materials for consideration in the Awards Program you warrant and represent that:
  4. If your project and Materials are chosen for an award, or for publication on Sponsors' websites, publications, or press releases You may be asked to submit a personal release or location release.

  5. All entries and Materials will become the physical property of Sponsors and none will be returned.

  6. Sponsors are under no obligation whatsoever to use, post, or distribute any or all submitted Materials.

  7. Sponsors retain the following rights without limitation:
  8. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Awards Program.

  9. All decisions made by Sponsors are final.

  10. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sponsors against and from any and all liabilities, causes of action, claims, demands, suites, judgments, losses, damages, costs and expenses of any kind and nature, including legal expenses, imposed on, incurred by or asserted against Sponsors, their agents, employees, officers, successors and assigns, in any way relating to or arising out of Your performance or nonperformance of and under this agreement. The assumption of indemnity, liability and loss under this paragraph shall survive the completion of Your performance hereunder and any other termination of this agreement.

  11. Applicable Law. This agreement and the performance of the parties hereuncer shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the law of the State of New York, the State of incorporation of CDA and the location of its principal office.

  12. This Awards Program is void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation.

  13. Sponsors are not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission. Sponsors are not responsible for theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry Materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind. Sponsors are not responsible for inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsors on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. Sponsors are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether cause by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of entries in the Awards Program, including but not limited to any misprints or typographical errors.
