The Quality Standard for Water Systems, Copper Tubing for Gas Service Continues to Grow Nationwide
ORLANDO— Builders will learn about the benefits of copper tubing for residential water and gas distribution at the 2006 International Builders Show, which is expected to attract more than 100,000 home building professionals to this city January 11 to 14, 2006.
Highlights of the convention include ShowVillage2006, an outdoor display area where three demonstration homes - all featuring IBS exhibitors' products - will be open for self-guided tours throughout the show.
The Copper Development Association (CDA) is pleased to announce its participation in ShowVillage2006 as a room sponsor for the "Custom Home" demonstration home. Visitors to the 5,000-square-foot house featuring three-bedrooms and two full baths will be able to look behind the walls to see the home's copper tube water delivery system in action. In addition to its use for water distribution, copper tube supplies natural gas to appliances and convenience outlets in the home.
Copper water tube remains the most used plumbing material in the country and is also becoming the preferred choice for residential propane and natural gas distribution for many gas utilities across the United States.
Citing significant economic advantages of copper over existing gas tubing options like CSST and rigid steel pipe, many utilities are now recommending copper pipe to area home builders, says Andrew G. Kireta Jr., CDA's Building Construction national program manager.
ShowVillage2006 is located outside the West Hall of the Orange County Convention Center in Parking Lot D. A special Block Party with music and giveaways will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 every afternoon during the show.
At the Builders Show, CDA is exhibiting with the American Gas Industry in Booth #1983, inside the West Hall of the convention center.
