Typical Uses of Copper Alloys
This page provides access to a database on the products copper and copper alloys are used in and the reasons why copper is used for these products.
The Uses Database was developed from a Copper Development Association project conducted in 1993 in which copper fabricators and firms which make copper based products were surveyed as to what applications copper is used in and why it is used. The database currently lists about 325 separate applications for copper and about 200 reasons as to why copper is used.
If you know of applications involving, or reasons for using copper which are not included in the database we would love to hear from you. CDA is always interested in showcasing innovative or interesting applications of copper. If you would like to have your product or application shown here, please send us an email.
Search Directions
To query the Uses Database, please select a category from below. Once you have selected a category and click on "View", you will be taken to a details page where you can select more exact application-specific criteria to search for.
