INTRODUCTION TO APPLICATIONS

Cu-Ni alloys are widely used for marine applications due to their excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, high inherent resistance to biofouling and good fabricability. They have provided reliable service for several decades whilst offering effective solutions to todays technological challenges.

This section is designed to provide a detailed overview of Cu-Ni with data which will allow good practices in design, fabrication and application. Major application areas are covered in detail in System Components and System Design; the latter includes a special section on Fittings.
