Architectural & Plumbing How-To Video Series Makes Working with Copper Simple and Easy
March 10, 2010
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Copper Development Association develops “Do it Proper with Copper” video series geared for the professional to the everyday consumer
NEW YORK—The Copper Development Association (CDA) has produced a series of short, instructional how-to videos for anyone working with copper on architectural and plumbing projects.
The Do It Proper with Copper video series was designed to illustrate proper techniques for joining and using this versatile metal in both architectural and piping applications. This includes such traditional techniques as soldering, as well as new push and press-connect fittings, recently introduced for plumbing systems.
With the help of CDA project managers, Larry Peters, and Harold Moret, CDA has created five videos which can be beneficial to the do-it-yourselfer, or the experienced installer, who is looking to refresh his or her skills. The methods reviewed are appropriate for both new construction and remodeling projects.
“We are very excited about this educational video series,” said Andy Kireta Jr., vice president of building and construction for CDA. “The explanation and demonstration of various techniques and applications are useful for anyone who is working with copper piping or copper roofing, flashing, or other architectural systems, and is looking for some guidance on their next project.”
The video series is available on the CDA web site and on CDA's YouTube Channel. CDA plans to expand the how-to video series in 2010 with additional architectural and plumbing techniques.
