CDA Promotes Adam Estelle to President and CEO

CDA has named Adam Estelle as its new president and CEO, effective May 1, 2024. Estelle who most recently served as the association’s vice president, will succeed Andrew G. Kireta, Jr. as the sixth leader of the association.

CDA Applauds DOE for Copper’s Inclusion on Critical Materials List

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) officially added copper to its Critical Materials list. This act marks the first time a U.S. government agency has included copper on one of its official “critical” lists, following the example of other countries including the European Union, Japan, India, Canada, and China.

CDA Commends the DOE for Inclusion of Copper on the Draft Critical Materials Assessment

The Copper Development Association is pleased to see that for the first time a U.S. federal agency is following the lead of the EU, Canada, Japan, India, China and others by characterizing copper as critical through its inclusion on the official DOE Critical Materials List. In particular, DOE is recommending a designation for copper of near-critical in the medium term (2025-2035).
